The Korea Accreditation Board (KAB)
recently held a cooperation meeting on accreditation affairs with the National
Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB) in New Delhi, India, on
March 5th.
As the demand for KAB accreditation from
Indian certification bodies continues to increase, discussions were made on
mutual cooperation and strengthening global partnerships between KAB and NABCB.
As a result, it was confirmed that NABCB is
willing to cooperate when KAB requests assistance for subcontracted evaluations
for Indian certification bodies. Furthermore, NABCB showed interest in KAB's
capacity-building programs related to TL 9000, NQMS(nuclear supply chain
quality management system), CMS(compliance management system), AQMS(aerospace
quality management system), and ABMS(anti-bribery management systems), laying
the foundation for various future collaborative activities.
Through this meeting, mutual understanding
between the two organizations has increased, and expectations for cooperation
with NABCB in the field of standardization and conformity assessment have been
raised.
